Gorgeous, spacious, and uniquely decorated, the Estrella Maya condo is tucked away in the exclusive and secure gated Aldea Maya community, with 24/7 security, a front desk concierge and preserved jungle natural areas with walking paths, all just a two minute stroll from the main commercial zone of Aldea Zama where you’ll find a variety of bars, restaurants and stores.
You'll find plenty of space for a relaxing “boho chic” Tulum inspired getaway in this large two-level penthouse with room to comfortably sleep 8. Three large bedrooms, each with direct access to an en-suite bathroom and patio, COMFORTABLE king size beds with pillow top memory foam mattresses, luxury soft linens, a variety of pillows, waffle cotton robes and blackout shades make for a restful vacation in this stunning retreat. Locally sourced furnishings, handmade artwork and designer touches throughout.
Our fully stocked kitchen has everything you need to prepare a home cooked meal, a water dispenser stocked with free water for your stay (it dispenses room temperature, hot and cold water on demand), Nespresso maker with starter supply of pods, a drip coffee maker (with coffee and filters), coffee grinder, French press, and electric tea kettle!
The condo's open floor plan boasts a large main floor living space with queen size pullout sofa (with gel mattress topper available upon request), room for 8 at our custom made Tzalam dining table, a dedicated work space in the main floor master bedroom and a stunning second master bedroom with dreamy canopy bed on the rooftop and two walls of floor to ceiling glass doors to enjoy panoramic sunrise and sunset views.
Two separate outdoor areas offer guests the ability to find their own space to take in the sounds of the jungle, curl up with a good book or sip a margarita while catching up with one another. Live tropical plants, a hammock chair on the back patio and multiple lounge spaces can be found throughout the property.
Estrella Maya was designed to honor the night sky Tulum is famous for, with a custom floor to ceiling night sky mural, working telescope and private rooftop oasis perfect for experiencing the magic of the stars for yourself. The rooftop features a large private plunge pool, outdoor living space, dining table with seating for 8 under a palapa cover and a poolside bar with seating for 3. Be sure to document your adventure for your social media followers and friends back home with our signature “insta-spot” and swing.
Lightning fast fiber optic internet with mesh wifi system to ensure connectivity throughout the space. Save room in your luggage for all the amazing souvenirs you'll find at nearby shops, as we provide a free in-unit washer and dryer (soap and dryer sheets included), yoga mats, beach bags, beach towels and hotel style safes in the two master bedrooms.
Building amenities include a commercial grade water softener and backup generator power for running necessities in the event of a power outage (guests are kindly asked to conserve power by not running ACs or washer/dryer while on generator power), and front desk staffed around the clock to assist with basic requests, booking a taxi, dining recommendations and more. No need to drag your heavy luggage up multiple flights of stairs as the building's elevator is just a few steps from the door to your unit. You'll find two gorgeous ground floor community pools with lounge chairs, outdoor furniture and outdoor showers for rinsing the sand from your toes after a day at Tulum’s famous beaches. Free parking is available in front of the building in a designated parking space with additional parking available right across the street (on a first come, first served basis). There are bike racks in front of building and bicycle rentals are available for an additional fee (we can coordinate this in advance for you).

It's an easy walk to Aldea Zama's restaurants and shops, and just 10 minutes by car from the beaches and world famous Tulum beach road, 5 minutes’ drive from the restaurants, shopping and nightlife of Tulum Pueblo and only 10 minutes from the second most visited Mayan ruins in the Yucatan Peninsula, at the Tulum Archeological Zone in Jaguar National Park. -

Guests will have access to the entire property including private back patio and rooftop patio, and all common amenities. There are some locked cabinets and a locked owner's closet that are not accessible to guests.

While we understand that life happens, as a small business we are unable to make exceptions to the cancellation policy agreed to at the time of booking. We strongly encourage all guests to purchase travel insurance to cover situations that may arise before or during their travels for added protection and peace of mind.
Due to owner's allergies and respiratory sensitivity please note that smoking (cigarettes/tobacco or marijuana) and vaping is not permitted anywhere on the premises (guests may smoke in the parking area). Candles and incense are also prohibited for indoor use.
Tulum (and Aldea Zama) are growing communities and construction is still occurring in the area. Please be aware that construction and road noise may be heard from the unit (although construction in the community is permissible only during working hours and on Saturdays). You may also experience temporary power outages from time to time that could also affect WiFi availability.
Tulum is located in a tropical jungle with a very humid climate. We specifically selected the chukum interior wall finish and request that AC units remain on to help keep the air inside our property smelling fresh and comfortable, but occasionally you may notice a humid "scent" related to the jungle climate- this is not due to excessive moisture, mold or mildew within our property or a cleanliness issue and is common in all properties and resorts in the area.
We have regularly scheduled pest control and screens on all sliding doors, however Tulum is located in a tropical jungle so you may have still have visits from the critters that call our jungle home.
The condominium has front desk staff available around the clock to assist you with questions about the area, restaurant recommendations and more. They also keep an eye on who is coming and going, so please be sure to list all guests that will be staying in the condo when making your reservation (unauthorized overnight guests are not permitted). If you are seeking a vibrant party atmosphere this is not the property for you. Should you have any concerns about noise during your stay the front desk can assist with enforcing the community's quiet hours.
Due to the unrestricted access to pools, heights and lack of railings on interior stairs our property is not recommended for children under the age of 12. If you are travelling with children please carefully review all listing details to ensure the property will be suitable for your needs.
In order to ensure the best guest experience possible our management company will require access to the rooftop and back terrace for pool and landscape maintenance as well as the unit on an as-needed basis for providing fresh linens and watering indoor plants, housekeeping or other services. Our property manager will communicate with guests to coordinate scheduling/access for services that require entry inside the unit during your stay, but please note that it is mandatory for guests to grant access for these services.
Our property manager will personally meet you for check-in (during regular business hours) to help familiarize you with our property, the rules/guidelines and answer any questions you may have. We offer electronic access (code will be provided prior to check-in, so no worries if you plan to arrive outside business hours).
While the water in Aldea Zama is safe for drinking, cooking, and brushing your teeth, we do provide a large water dispenser that will stay stocked during your stay.
Free parking directly in front of building (1 space) plus additional free on-street parking available on a first-come, first-serve basis. If someone is parked in the space designated for this unit, please inform the front desk concierge or let our property manager know so they can provide assistance.
Severe weather cancellation policies: Our property is in a tropical area which means the weather that is typical in those locations (such as hurricanes) should be anticipated and we highly recommend the purchase of travel insurance to cover such situations. If a hurricane or other natural disaster is expected to affect your travels and you wish to cancel your trip, we will gladly provide any needed documentation for you to submit to your travel insurance. If you made your reservation through a booking platform, we will follow the platform's cancellation policies. For direct bookings, the following will apply: If the property is uninhabitable due to disaster, mandatory evacuations are in place, or the government has issued an emergency declaration that prohibits travel to Tulum, we will issue a refund less applicable card processing fees or provide a credit for a future stay. Otherwise, our cancellation policy as written at the time of booking applies.
